Michael Camphausen (Denmark) was awarded his PhD in December 2011 in the regulation and supervision of financial companies with a focus on regulatory conditions for banks. His thesis centred on the regulation of bank licenses, monopolies and other activities and is available in a book edition on the book’s website with the publisher. Alongside his research, Camphausen is a partner at the law firm Camphausen Walldén and has many years of specialisation in bank and finance law.
Camphausen has authored several articles on bank and financing law in academic journals and books and has for many years taught students, bank managers and bank employees about bank regulatory subjects. A popular speaker in the financial sector and expert commentator in the media, he writes columns for FinansWatch and Berlingske Business on bank law subjects of current interest. The International Chamber of Commerce in Paris appointed Camphausen as the Danish member of the new high-level expert Group on Economic Policy, where he contributes with his expertise in the financial area.
